The truancy continues to decline in Jumilla (23/04/2015)

This morning I met the City Commission of Truancy, to assess the various cases of absenteeism that occur locally, and thus determine whether to report them to the prosecution, as well the councilor of Social Policy, John Calabuig .

The Commission was created by the Plenum in 2013 and brings together the entire educational community interest focusing on truancy.

In it, displayed the Inspectorate of Education, representatives of schools, pedagogical guidance teams and the Ministry of Education.

The Commission attending technicians of the Department of Social Policy, linked to truancy prevention program.

At today's meeting was also attended by the councilors of Social Policy and Children, as well as representatives of the security forces, including local police and Guardia Civil.

As explained by the head area councilor, Juan Calabuig, "fortunately, where Jumilla are decreasing due to good coordination of all entities involved in this program. Currently, the town has three cases of chronic absenteeism, that after today's meeting, it was agreed to inform the prosecutor. On the other possible case studies from the Department continues to work. "

Program coordinators have maintained throughout the course, regular meetings with the team Counseling in schools in the municipality, and Technical Services to the Community of the two high schools, in meetings that have served to divert cases , analyze, study the involvement of each group in them, or know what other support needed.

It has also held meetings with AMPAS, addresses of schools, and another group of social, especially at the beginning of the school year to inform the program and to involve.
