The Center of Attention to Women Victims of Domestic Violence in Jumilla is underway (08/04/2015)

From today, Jumilla has already Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence, a demand that is realized by improving the service that was provided since 2012 at the Point of Specialized Care, with the addition now of professional profiles legal advice, and psychologist, in addition to a social worker.

This is explained by the Councillor for Equality, Alicia Abellán, who has reported the launch of the service.

As expected for this year the Ministry of Social Policy, the EAP services Jumilla, which now goes to function as CAVI, so that the overall budget for the recruitment of three professional profiles that make up these centers increases were increased.

Since 2012, Jumilla had a PAE dependent CAVI Yecla so far, so Jumilla women may have these services in the municipality, without having to travel to the nearby town of Yecla.

CAVI, care, support and protection

The Network of Specialized Care Centers for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI) established by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with various municipalities of the region, offers individual and group therapy for women victims of abuse.

Attention is performed comprehensive and free of charge from different professional approaches: psychological, social and legal.

Thus, the necessary support to enhance the social and psychological skills of women who come to this resource, and to successfully overcome the experiences provided.

The CAVI are meeting places for women with similar problems, in which a space that aims to reinforce their feelings of safety and security is provided.

Al CAVI they can turn all those older women who are abused by their partner or ex-partner, or who think they may be fighting a similar situation.

Exceptionally, they may be treated in the CAVI adolescents who suffer domestic violence whenever it has the maternal or paternal consent.

The intervention program proposed by the CAVI is appropriate to the objectives and needs of each woman, without requiring prerequisites and not limited to a certain number of sessions.
