The Municipal Corporation, debated this week's plenary session in January, the draft 2015 municipal budget, which this year amounts to 20,700,000 euros, ie two million and a half euros to be allocated, as explained by the spokesman of the government team in investment projects in public spaces, with special attention to the districts of the town, and a significant increase in subsidies for social policy, and in Chapter 1 dedicated staff.

As discussed in the plenary debate, the spokeswoman Alicia Abellán, "the 2015 municipal budget is a reflection of the economic policy of the City of Jumilla, once released from the adjustment plan and accounts in positive, can afford major projects for this year. "

Over 1,700,000 euros for investment in public

Within the breakdown of the municipal budget, include the 1,700,000 euros, down in the investment chapter, mostly for street improvements and municipal buildings.

So half a million is earmarked for the Adequacy Plan Districts;

100,000 euros plus the regional contribution of 150,000 euros for the settlement of Columbus, Alfonso X, John XXIII and Antonio Machado streets;

121,000 euros for the adequacy of the Markets;

60,000 euros for improvement works in the public schools of the locality;

80,000 euros for the purchase of playground and more than 60,000 euros for street furniture.

In addition it will also act on the Plaza de la Alcoholera on top, Ronda de Poniente and the Liberty Avenue.

217,450 euros for social grants

Also heading dedicated to social grants are doubled for this 2015. On the one hand, the budget provides a consignment of 15,000 for large families, pensioners and unemployed.

Staff

Chapter personal accounts for almost 50% of the municipal budget.

As explained Councilman Internal Affairs, Juan Calabuig, the budget will have an increase of 900,000 euros in staff costs for temporary contracts, whose work will focus on street cleaning, maintenance and upgrading of public roads.

Amendments

After presenting the draft budget, various amendments by opposition groups, IU-Greens and POSE were presented.

On the one hand, IU filed a total of 18 amendments, for a total amount of 1,170,000 euros.

Inauguration Ana Lopez as Councillor for IU-Greens

Also during the regular full-January, took place the inauguration of the new councilor will be part of the Municipal Corporation, Ana Lopez, within the municipal group IU-Greens.
