The Full Council expresses its unanimous condemnation against Gender Violence through an Institutional Declaration against this social evil (26/11/2014)

On Monday took place the regular session of the month November, where among other things he proceeded to read the Institutional Declaration of the City of Jumilla against gender violence also favorably approved the bonus of 75% of the ICIO tax to a local company, and realized the various reports submitted to the Ministry of Finance to the situation of municipal accounts.

In this regard, first, it was reported the follow-up Adjustment Plan for the third quarter of 2014, plus the balance of the municipal coffers as to the Delinquency Act and the budget implementation for the third quarter.

Moreover, on the occasion of November 25, International Day Against Violence Against Women, the municipal council of Jumilla publicly condemned violence against women, through an institutional statement that expressed unanimous condemnation of the City of Jumilla against gender violence, "social evil that never stops".

"With this statement we renew our political commitment to the defense of the rights of women, continue to implement measures aimed at prevention, care of all forms of gender violence", gathered about the statement signed by the spokespersons of municipal three groups, and ratified by the Mayor of Jumilla.

Another point approved unanimously by the full was the approval of 75% of the tax ICIO jumillana Bodegas Hijos de Juan Gil, under favorable technical reports stating that it complies with the rules contained in the Municipal Ordinance 2014.

As to the motions before the opinion of the whole, this month discussed two, both presented by the PSOE, the first one aimed at implementing equal opportunities for awarding college scholarships, municipal group and the second focused on policy of equal treatment between men and women.

During the discussion it was stored at the request of the Councillor for Equality, Alicia Abellán, a minute of silence in memory of women who have died at the hands of their partners so far this year.

Both declined after the vote in plenary.
