The Ministry of Education and the City of Jumilla seeking new headquarters for the extension of the Official Language School in Jumilla (21/11/2014)

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the city of Jumilla studying designate a new venue for the extension of the Official Language School serving locally.

At present, the facilities of the Center for Adult Education Altiplano welcome 136 students enrolled in the four levels of English offered in the town.

On this occasion, the Director General of Universities, Luis Javier Lozano, Jumilla visited this morning to meet with the mayor Enrique Jimenez, and the head of the area councilor, Alicia Abellán, in order to pool possible sites for relocation Official School of Languages ​​of the town.

According to the CEO stressed "the growing demand for training in languages, particularly English, has led us to consider a transfer to serve our students in the best possible conditions and increase supply."

Meanwhile, the mayor of Jumilla, welcomed the visit of the CEO, and emphasized during the meeting "have been able to address issues related to language teaching in the town in the Classroom Attached to the Official Language School in initially two years ago we had 2 classrooms and now we have 4. We have doubled the number of spaces, and intend to continue improving. "

The Jumilla is one of the 17 extensions available to the Official School of Languages ​​in the region, in addition to the six branches located in Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Molina de Segura, San Javier and Caravaca de la Cruz.

In her four levels of English, Basic 1, where there are 36 students enrolled are offered;

Basic 2, with 34 students;

Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and 35 plates, where a total of 31 students enrolled.

During the meeting, also the CEO of Universities and Education Councilwoman Jumilla tried on the social process of awarding scholarships funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities.

In this course, the township has a total of 400 students enrolled in undergraduate and one of the two public universities in the region that can benefit from these grants master.
