The tourism potential of Jumilla expands its spread, this time from the mobile application RuMapps an interregional cooperation project of the four Local Action Groups in the Region of Murcia, by which rural tourism across the region will be promoted within the Jumilla's offer included.

The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, and one of the developers of Fernando Lopez application, presented the project yesterday in Jumilla, in an act which was attended by the Councillor for Tourism, and various heads of the areas of tourism in the area.

The project was funded by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Region of Murcia, EAFRD within the framework of the European Union, whose main objective is the design and creation of applications for Smartphones and Tablets, adapt rural areas of the Region of Murcia to developments in the tourism sector.

As detailed in the presentation, "RuMapps" intended to serve for the enhancement of the social, economic and cultural resources in rural areas of the Region of Murcia, to suit your needs, through a tool that allows visitors to enjoy the maximum resources and find items of value in the area, thus increasing the experience of it.

Within the application therefore included the general information of the municipality, such as where to go, where to eat, accommodation, entertainment, tours, tourism products or information of interest, of the 32 locations that are included in the application, particularly those in rural character.

In addition the application also allows browsing by categories, so for example clicking dining, access to all the restaurants and bars throughout the region included in the application, as well as with museums, adventure tourism, religious, Guided tours art or festivals.

The mayor, Enrique Jimenez, congratulated the project developers, "because they have combined to perfection a large volume of information in an intuitive, flexible and attractive user application, which in a simple way the visitor can know everything that a city offers, share content, and expand its tourism experience as they pass through the various locations that are included in the application. "
