The Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, chaired this morning delivering distinctive to the 80 schools that have joined this course to teach in Spanish and English plates, of which three are from Jumilla centers, the Stone Cross CC, CC St. Anta and CEIP Our Lady of the Assumption, in the initial level.
According to the Minister of Education, "Our goal for next year is that all municipalities parents have with schools with this type of advanced education and pursue the goal of implementation in all schools by 2020".
More than 28,500 elementary students in the region made this course studies in Spanish and English.
Specifically, 11,000 do first, 4,000 of them in one of the 80 schools entering the bilingual program during 2014-2015 and today received their distinction.
Pedro Antonio Sánchez said that "we must thank the teaching staff of the schools involvement and effort to adapt teaching to the learning needs of students and the demands of their educational communities, as in the case of bilingual education. "
This significant increase in the number of schools and students in bilingual education has been possible to open the Ministry of Education to all schools the opportunity to join the bilingual program in Primary, if so decided by the educational community and had teachers and Quality requirements for implementation.
At present, there are now 223 schools offering bilingual teaching mode in Spanish and English, almost half of the centers are there in the region.
The municipalities with the greatest increase in bilingual schools for this course are Murcia, with 22 new schools and nine Cartagena.
Alhama de Murcia Cieza, Jumilla, San Pedro del Pinatar and Yecla add three each.
