Following the public success of the first staging, the Thalia Theatre group returns back to Castillo Jumilla to spice up the folk tale "The Lovers of the Castle," a theatrical tour to take place this Sunday, November 16 at 10.00 hours.
It is a popular legend that has been jumping from one generation to the impossible love story between Anna Maria and Sergio, two young lovers whose social differences make it impossible to romance that ends with a tragic end.
According to legend, several hundred years ago, a young man came to Jumilla looking at vintage fatigues, with the luck of falling into a hacienda where as luck would have bumped into a young wench, daughter of the owner of the farm.
Although corresponded soon, the fate of the girl's father had prepared for her was quite another, the heir to another ranch, lazy, lazy, womanizing would, according to her father, her fiancé.
Soon the father discovers the meetings and sends young girl to live in the village, a decision that followed her boyfriend leaving the farm in his footsteps.
The Castillo de Jumilla, was their meeting place until the fiance finds out and tries to break this tie.
The theatrical tour will start at 10.30 am and the Department of Culture and Tourism has arranged a bus that will be leaving from the Tourist Office from 10.00, with a price of 1.10 euros.
