One of the proposals left in Jumilla weekend was the XXI Festival of Bands "Ciudad de Jumilla", which organized a year Jumillano Association of Friends of Music (Ajam), and that this time has had with the Youth Music Group head of Torres as guest band.
The event began with a parade that started from Plaza del Rollo, to the Teatro Vico, where local authorities, with the mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez to the head, received the musicians of both bands also accompanied by the president of Federation of Bands of the Region of Murcia, Jinesa Zamora, who also attended the Festival with the mayor.
The Youth Music Group head of Torres, was responsible for starting the Festival with an outstanding repertoire that titles like "The grace of God, Ramon Roig and Torne," included Symphony No. 3 "by Alfred Reed and "The Island of Light" by José Alberto Pina.
Meanwhile, the AJAM surprised with the interpretation of pieces like "Twilight" prelude for band Roque Baños;
"Symphony No. 5" by Dmitri Shostakovich;
and "Cuban Overture" by George Gershwin.
The event ended with the presentation of a gift of remembrance to the guest band that picked the same president, Rafael García Murcia and directors of training.
