The City of Jumilla and Abraham Project Association put in place the "Reuse and avoids CO2" (30/09/2014)

In order to promote social awareness on separate collection and recycling of municipal solid waste, the municipality of Jumilla and Partnership Project Abraham have launched the contest "Reuse and avoids CO2" among schools in the locality.

Schools interested in participating, develop a focused collection of clothes, shoes and toys that should provide school campaign center, schools and all participants will get a certificate of combating climate change, for their cooperation in the campaign.

As highlighted by the Mayor of Jumilla, "with such projects, it contributes to the awareness of school by improving the use of resources, and reducing the consumption of raw materials, thus avoiding the generation of waste."

Also, another factor favoring the initiative is the prevention of climate change by reducing emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, while creating employment for people experiencing or at risk of social exclusion.

Abraham Project

Abraham Project was born as a non-profit organization that serves excluded or at risk of exclusion people.

Since 1997, the Association acts Abraham Project in the Region of Murcia with one main objective: the social and environmental action.

Since its inception, serving all those who, by their status as immigrants, alcoholics, homeless, unemployed, etc, suffer serious problems of exclusion and lack of economic, personal and social resources to cope with their difficulties.
