The Vico Theatre will host Thursday the projection of the classic movie last summer, and will do with the production "Slander", a film director William Wyler and starring Audrey Hepburn, Shirley MacLaine and James Garner, among other actors main cast.
Karen (Hepburn) and Martha (MacLaine) are the directors of an exclusive school for girls.
A malicious and vindictive student, jilted by a punishment he has received, overhears a comment and uses it, distorting it, to accuse their teachers of reprehensible conduct.
Scandalous rumors spread quickly through the school community, with immediate, devastating and tragic consequences.
Slander obtained in 1961, five Oscar nominations, including Best Supporting Actress for Fay Bainter, and Best Art Direction for B & N, plus 3 nominations for the Golden Globes including best director.
The movie will start at 21.30, and will be free access to all places.
This is the last show that will offer the Department of Culture and Cinema Inner Club in the summer cycle, for which they have been great titles of cinema such as "To be or not to be", "Camille", "Lilies of the Field Valley "or the latter," Slander ".
