The Department of Public Safety reported banning installation of grab bars around the route of the Great Wine Parade, which will take place on Saturday, August 23.
According to Articles 7 and 8 of the Municipal Ordinance Regulating the Occupation of Land for Public Use furniture, people who break the rules by installing bars on the streets along which the Grand Parade, may be liable to fines of up to 1,500 €.
Moreover, as indicated in the rules, installed bars on the streets adjoining the path must be completely vacated at 22:00 hours, with teams off music and the occupied space completely clean.
Councillor for Public Safety, Marina Garcia, has called for respect to the ordinance, in order to avoid possible sanctions, "so that all enjoy a Grand Parade of Wine in the safety of citizens is guaranteed."
