The City will receive 15,000 euros to implement the Plan of Action against Child Poverty (06/08/2014)

As approved by the Governing Council on Friday, the Community allocated among the municipalities in the region, 805,928 euros Action Plan Against Child Poverty, launched by the regional government in early July, after obtaining the approval Executive at its meeting on June 27.

As reported by the Councillor for Social Policy, John Calabuig, "the city of Jumilla in principle receive 15,000 euros that can reach 21,400 euros, to implement the plan in the town."

The distribution of these funds has been made based on the population of each of the local authorities in the region, and with data from the Information System Users of Social Services, which contain all the information concerning care interventions Primeria.

The aid will go toward households with children up to 16 years and lack of basic needs, and may be used to purchase food, clothing, pharmaceutical expenses, lodging, or current expenses, such as electricity, water or gas.
