The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, under the 'Plan against theft on farms and livestock', has developed an investigation that has culminated with the arrest of three members of a criminal group dedicated to the removal of fruit to which they are attached, so far, the alleged authorship of two counts of theft in Jumilla farms.
Last June, the ROCA machinery (against thefts in the field) of the Civil Guard of Murcia, Cieza and Torre Pacheco, several patrols prevention and public safety inspectors Department of Markets, Consumption and the City of Decentralization Murcia were coordinated to provide an inspection at a weekly market in the village of Murcia El Palmar, in order to carry out checks on agricultural products that were offered, mainly verifying its provenance.
The inspection resulted in the five offenses complaint for lack of documentation proving the legal origin of the products offered to the consumer, the seizure of 2,200 kilos of pears, peaches, oranges, plums and melons, and the arrest of two people and imputed by subtracting a third of peaches in Jumilla and La Tertia-Murcia, respectively, after conducting an investigation to determine the origin of the fruit offered unlawfully.
Similarly, agents ROCK Cieza initiated another investigation team with the same goals, the first steps leading to the location of the injured in these robberies, to gather all possible evidence of the commission of the robbery and the authors.
The investigations carried out gave positive result soon after, finding that part of the operated fruit at the point of hawking in variety and type coincided with pears stolen in several farms of Jumilla, in this case four tons stolen repeatedly.
The Civil Guard, after identifying the suspects who formed a criminal group engaged in theft of farm products, established a search on them which has culminated in recent days with its location, arrest and subsequent remand in custody, suspected of the crime of theft.
The policemen, after analyzing the information obtained during the investigation, were able to observe the authorship of those arrested on two criminal acts, although they continue the investigation into crimes allegedly committed by more team members dismantled.
Those arrested three Spaniards, 35, 39 and 60, residents of Murcia and numerous precedents for similar offenses, retrieved effects and the proceedings have been brought before the Court of Instruction No. 1 of Jumilla (Murcia).
