The Director General of Vocational Training visit several centers Jumilla (10/02/2014)

The Director General of Vocational and Specialised Education, Marta López-Briones Pérez-Pedrero, accompanied by the mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jiménez Sánchez, and the Councillor for Education, Ramiro Garcia Cerezo, last Friday visited several schools in Jumilla The two institutes of the town, the IES "Archbishop Lozano" and IES "Infanta Elena" and the Center for Integrated Agricultural Experiences and Adult Education Center.

During the visit the Director General of Vocational Training held meetings with representatives of the center and the AMPAS thereof, in the case of the two institutes.

These meetings revealed what were the expectations of schools regarding the implementation of vocational training in the Region of Murcia as a result of the adoption of the new education law.

In this regard, the Director General stated that the purpose of his visit to Jumilla and centers where training cycles training and professional certificates taught was to collect first hand, the needs and the expectations created by the entry into force of the LOMCE.

As recorded by the new rules, for the next course is scheduled to start basic training, where fourteen professional titles are provided, so that the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment is studying the map needs to to maximize available resources and reach the maximum number of students.

Another issue discussed at meetings with parents, management teams and municipal authorities was the need proposal from the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment and from the city of Jumilla to implement new training courses linked to the development needs of Jumilla and its region.

As explained by the Councillor for Education, "is a set of ideas from the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment try to deepen their study within that map of the vocational training of the Region of Murcia, all families professionals have training opportunities tailored to current needs. "

According to the general manager, Marta López-Briones Pérez-Pedrero, "a very important way to bilingual vocational training and the dual vocational training opens."

Meanwhile, the mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, said that "without doubt, the visit of the Director General to the center of town, is proof that the Ministry of interest shown for the first hand know the educational status of Jumilla and to contact the parents, check in addition to that made last week by the Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, on the 60th anniversary of Archbishop Lozano IES.
