The Plenary Hall of the City of Jumilla host tomorrow the official presentation of the report and website "4D-Rock Art" project, through which have been digitized rock art shelters in five municipalities of Murcia and Castilla-La Mancha, in a multidisciplinary project in which specialists have worked the fields of archeology, restoration, photography, analytical chemistry and computer together.
The "4D-Rock Art" project has put in place a monitoring system of conservation issues in shelters with rock art.
The project involved five municipalities (Nerpio, Moratalla, Hellin, Jumilla and Yecla), led by the city of Jumilla, through the Department of Culture.
It was developed between January and September 2013 wraps Solana of Covachas, zones III and VI (Nerpio) Cañaica Calar II (Moratalla), Coat Large Minateda (Hellin), Cave du Midi (Yecla) and Shelter del Buen Aire I (Jumilla).
All are included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO in the framework of the Rock Art of the Mediterranean Basin on the Iberian Peninsula.
Funding for the project has been realized through the notice of Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports Grants for conservation projects, conservation and dissemination of World declared, corresponding to 2012 Heritage property.
A presentation of the memory with the conclusions of the project is expected to asita morning, the Director General of Cultural Assets of the Region of Murcia, Francisco García Jiménez, plus Nerpio Mayor, Pilar Peña, Mayor of Moratalla, Antonio García Rodríguez, the Chief of the Cultural Heritage of Castilla-La Mancha, María Perlin, and councilors of Culture and Tourism of the municipalities Jumilla, Yecla, and Moratalla.
