The Wine Route presents the Gastronomic VIII in the city of Jumilla (29/10/2013)

The councilman of Culture and Tourism, María Dolores Fernández, and the president and treasurer of the Wine Route, Pedro Piqueras and Jose Maria Fernandez, presented yesterday Gastronomic VIII, one of the highlights of the association, and more excitement generated between outsiders and visitors, along with the concert series Music from Wines or Top Road.

The VIII Conference will be held from November 1 to December 1, and a year reinvented to offer different reasons to enjoy the cuisine jumillana, this edition, with special emphasis again, spoon food.

Thus becomes "Stew Route", which stews always put on forefront, and add value to traditional cuisine through bucket lids.

Ten wine bars, restaurants and shops participate in this route, bringing their creations plus a glass of the 12 wines selected, for only 2.50 euros.

The essence of the conference is held with 10 participating restaurants that draw tasting menus with starters, first course and dessert with a bottle of wine every two people for 30 euros.

Jumillano gazpacho, fried cheese with tomatoes, rice and rabbit, stuffing balls are some of the dishes that will accompany the conference citing the hallmark of the city, the wines, with 12 of the most representative of elaborations participating wineries.

To complement the recreational offer gastronomy offered by the municipality during these weeks, the Wine Route has launched the campaign "Let's go for a drink in Jumilla", in which 12 cafes will offer a discount of 1 Euro in the cup, for each skewer or stew that is requested in bars and restaurants participating in the conference.

Coinciding with the Gastronomic, November 10 is celebrated throughout Europe plus the European Wine Tourism Day, and on this occasion, in Jumilla, all the wineries associated Jumilla Wine Route will be open to the public, free visits made by facilities.

Besides completing the cultural offer for this day, the Department of Culture and Tourism has organized open day at local museums and cultural space Jumilla Castle, they have prepared two free tours.

The councilman of Culture and Tourism, Maria Dolores Fernandez, highlighted about the conference that "this is a bet very brave of restaurants, wineries and participating establishments as it is a tremendous effort that made these days, but recent data support the initiative.
