On Sunday, from the Department of Equality celebrated the Day Against Breast Cancer, a reminder of the commitment of the whole society jumillana in the fight against this disease.
Jumillano Jumillano Hundreds came together yesterday at the Castillo de Jumilla to enforce support in the I Run Women's Council for "Get Going against cancer."
The march began at the esplanade of access to cultural space, and after the ascent to the fort, the activity ended with the formation of a human bond huge sign of support for women who suffer, and to reinforce the commitment of Jumilla in prevention of this disease.
The composer Jumillano Andres Martinez, put the finishing touch to the activity accompanying the meeting with several of his most famous songs.
Equality Councilwoman Alicia Abellán, acknowledged the assistance to all men and women who participated in the meeting as well as the local board of the AECC to push all their activities in the town, for cancer prevention and awareness .
Meanwhile, Pepa Maria Calvo, president of the local board of the AECC in Jumilla, wanted to take the call to remember the importance of these mammograms, especially for those women whose age is between 50 and 69 years age groups particularly susceptible to developing the disease.
"Prevention is the best tool to tackle the disease, and in this sense the mammogram is the best weapon," he said.
In Jumilla, last September, the mobile unit for breast cancer prevention in the AECC, was carrying about 1,800 mammograms jumillanas, in its annual monitoring and prevention of this cancer.
In addition to the activities, next Friday, October 25, from 11.00 to 12.00 hours, on the local radio station, Radio Jumilla, will air a new program of "Equality in waves", which will be devoted this time to the women against cancer.
