Presented activities Artisan House this summer (29/05/2013)

For the first time Artisan Market will be held on August Fair and Festival for two days.

Councilman Crafts, Antonio Valero, next to the new board of the Association of Artisans of Jumilla, presented the activities planned for June, July and August at Artisan House.

Councilman, used the occasion to present the new board of the Association of Artisans of Jumilla, with Ana Perez as new president and newcomer to the association, Natalia Sanchez and Pascual Martinez as secretary and treasurer of the same.

Ana Perez presented the activities organized for this quarter will begin on June 19 with a Cheese Tasting at Artisan House, by tasting the cheeses DO Murcia and Murcia al Vino Cheese, with free registration may be made in the Roque Baños Sociocultural Center.

Councilman thanked the collaboration of the DO, to retake this tasting cheeses.

On June 29, there will be the 2012 Honorary Appointment Craftsman Francisco Gonzalez Salinas, esparto craftsman belonging to the association, so it was decided that he, in recognition and appreciation of her career in the same.

Councilman wanted to congratulate the deserved recognition because despite being older, is highly trained, abalado recognition for great work throughout his life in the world of Esparto.

The July 12 will be held the 2nd Craft Night Gastronomic tasting of craft products from Jumilla, with limited capacity and whose entries may be purchased at the Artisan's House and Roque Baños Sociocultural Center.

Valero said that this activity is repeated, such as cheese tasting, by the success of last year, noting that not only esparto crafts, pottery or jewelry, but also make cheese, wines, jams, sausages that also have their place within this Department.

In August, held the Third Market Artisan Fair and Festival, which is extended to two days, from 11 am to 12 pm, on the walk Poet Lorenzo Guardiola.

Valero said that this market first will be held over two days, market that has been ongoing for three consecutive years, and where the association will be present offering all its products, housing many local craftsmen, not only of Jumilla, who thanked collaboration to further enhance the craft in the locality.

Ana Perez said the Artisan House will reopen to the public from Thursday to Sunday, Sundays are the artisans themselves doing demonstrations and meeting visitors.

Valero thanked the outgoing president of the Association of Artisans of Jumilla, Eduardo Gaia, the great work of the head of the association, their willingness, along with the entire board of the association in all activities undertaken since this Council.
