Seven families in the town will benefit from the Social Fund for Housing (24/05/2013)

During the extraordinary plenary session held last week passed a motion, proposed by the Municipal People, for the Council to accede to Social Housing Fund.

As reported by John Calabuig, "the adoption of this motion is a support for mortgage borrowers who have been evicted from their residence by not addressing the mortgage loan from 2008 and who are in particularly vulnerable situations, putting available to these families new tools to improve their situation through the creation of a housing fund of which have credit institutions, making them available to users who require to lease in the special conditions. "

Calabuig reported that "in Jumilla are at least seven houses raised for this fund, and could increase in the future."

The City Council, with the accession to this Convention, undertakes to advise any person interested, to report on the procedure for accessing these homes, making a social report for persons seeking to determine the homes where special conditions difficult these families, reaching agreements with banks to assess the requirements and spread, with the means available to the City Council, the purpose and content of this agreement, as reported Calabuig.

Currently more than 320 municipalities in Spain, and have adhered to this agreement, 13 of them in the region.

Among other criteria, that a family is in a particularly vulnerable situation must meet certain requirements as they do not exceed three times the indicator IPREM be large family or parent unit with two or more dependent children, which in the household have children up to three years, there are disabled members greater than 33%, which is in the evacuated exhausted unemployment benefits and that there are victims of domestic violence among others, opening the range for that particular vulnerability is affirmative reason and that these families can access those families in need through a competitive lease said Calabuig.

Councilman rated very positively the adoption of this motion, allowing expanded use of social housing in the town, and although the social problem of housing not be deleted, but this measure can help alleviate this, taking advantage of the City any opportunity there to which you can adhere to.
