As reported by the Councillor responsible for the area, John Calabuig, last week held a Work Orientation Workshop on job search and resources, led the immigrant population of the town, in which they have participated fourteen men and women.
This activity is provided within the activities under the Migrant Accommodation Program, through the Department of Social Policy of the local council.
For two days, fourteen people, with different age profiles, occupations and training, and for the most part of Hispanic origin, participated in the workshop and is very enriching for the disparity of the profiles of the participants.
The methodology used was completely open and participatory as they worked on their own experiences in the process of job search and work experience.
The workshop was divided into two days with five hours of lessons each.
During the first day, they worked the requirements for developing an occupation such as personal skills, physical and psychological, vocational and technical requirements, the resume and job interview; places to begin the job search; existing training resources the town and surrounding area and work bags available locally.
The second day workshop was held in the computer lab Roque Baños Sociocultural Center, which was announced major job portals via internet, SEF page and sending resumes through internet.
