This Friday is "World Recycling Day," and with the aim of promoting social awareness on separate collection and recycling of municipal solid waste, the Department of Environment has launched an environmental awareness campaign in the schools in the city, as reported by the Mayor and Councillor, Enrique Jimenez.
During this week, the Abraham Project Association has given workshops on environmental awareness and recycling, about two hundred students, courses of 3 ° and 4 ° of primary schools in San Francisco and Prince Philip, who is adhering to the offering that the City proposed to all schools in the municipality.
The workshops, taught by Toni Villarino, Social Integrative Project Abraham, have included a talk showing the work of the association in the care of people at risk and / or social exclusion, and performed a group dynamic around the environmental consequences of urban waste (soil pollution, climate change, etc..) and shares that are held by the public to avoid it (attitude responsible consumption and responsible attitude to waste them), highlighting the social and environmental benefits of the selective separation, reuse and recycling of waste.
This awareness action is contemplated within the cooperation agreement concluded by the Abraham Project with the City of Jumilla in July 2011, with which regulated the introduction of recycling containers of clothes, shoes and toys.
