The Department of Social Services, in partnership with the Abraham Project of Murcia, organized a course on Introduction to user computing, Internet and related applications (08/05/2013)

The Department of Social Services, since Accompaniment Programme in collaboration with the Association of Murcia Abraham Project, launches a workshop called "Introduction to Course user computing, Internet and related applications", in order to provide the participants, the training that will allow them to enhance their skills and thus promote its socio-labor.

The Abraham Project Association is an entity, a non-profit that manages an economic activity on a sustainable development model.

Since 2008 this association develops its training partner itinerant occupational order to fight against poverty and social exclusion in our region.

Regarding his collaboration with Jumilla, this partnership signed in 2010 a cooperation agreement with the City, which included training workshops working partner.

These workshops are part of the actions taken by the City Council, through the Center for Social Services, to promote the social integration of people and groups at risk or social exclusion.

Through this agreement, in October 2011 it executed a cobbler's workshop, and in May 2012, a workshop was held sewing and repairing clothes.

These workshops are supported by the Abraham Project, which provides the material, machinery and hiring costs an instructor in the municipality of Jumilla.

The City Council, meanwhile, provides the local assignment of support in the organization and management of the workshop through professionals Accompaniment Programme.

The objectives to be achieved with the completion of this Course are:

Promote the acquisition of social and labor integration allowing labor.

Develop a minimum cognitive skills to be functional in the technological world around us.

Offer attendees the opportunity to access the benefits provided by the incorporation of new technologies into their lives.

The workshop includes the development of two social skills at work: overview of basic computer and internet world.

During the course, attendees will learn how to organize and store information, direct management tools and utility, advantages or tools related to internet world.

Its completion is scheduled for the month of May, from day 17 to 31, with a total duration of 40 hours practice time from 9:30 to 13:30 hours, Monday to Friday.

It will be done in a classroom equipped Social Center "Roque Baños".

This activity is aimed at a total of 12 people, all members of the programs developed by the Center for Social Services.
