On the occasion of World Book Day, which takes place next Tuesday, April 23, the Councils Equality and Library have organized a public reading, called Authors.
It will be held on Tuesday from 10:30 am in the Meeting Room of City Hall.
Reading is public, so that anyone interested may attend the reading at any time of the session.
The activity will focus on works written by women in different periods of history and aims to draw attention to the important role women have also made to the history of literature.
He read works of authors such as Maria Cruz Trigueros jumillanas Mateos and Ana Maria Olivares Thomas, as well as writers such as Jane Austen, Isabel Allende and Elena Poniatowska.
That same day, the Municipal Library has organized the campaign "Bring a kilo of food and Get a book", in which food collected will be donated to Caritas Jumilla.
