More than eighty students from IES Infanta Elena exchange visit the City (21/02/2013)

The Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, has been commissioned to welcome pupils who have filled the Plenary Hall, also attended by the director of the Center, Francisco Campillo, Municipal Spokesperson, Alicia Abellán and parents who wished to be present also.

The Mayor wanted to welcome you to our city thanking the Institute, the work they do for five years, and encouraged them to this exchange "serve, other than to perfect the language, to present our culture and wealth, and to create personal ties ", wishing to enjoy their time and waiting for Jumilla revisit along with their families.

Julie Bruand, Institute Professor Cosse-le-Vivien, stressed the importance of sharing, creating strong links between teachers and exchange between families, thanking the City Council to welcome, and Antonio Azorin, teacher exchange organizer French department IES Infanta Elena, for the work he has been playing.

Subsequently, some French students have shown their Spanish devoting a few words to the audience.

The main purpose of the exchange is that students put into practice the French language skills acquired in the classroom, because in today's society the language is very important and if we want our students to gain real proficiency, participating in exchange is the only way that students use the language in a real context.

An unforgettable experience, because for some, it is the first time traveling abroad, discovering customs and ways of living.

During his stay here, the students visited Cartagena, Valencia ending his visit in Granada.

In our city been to Santa Ana, El Castillo and Museum, among others.

For its part, the Spanish students visit France between 15 and 24 March.

As French students in Spain, will use to explore the region, in addition to attending classes at the College "L'Oriette" de Cosse-le-Vivien.

Visit Mont Saint Michel, Saint Malo, Laval, Le Mans, Angers and Nantes.

The exchange is prepared throughout the school year and, from the beginning, students are in contact through correspondence and new technologies.
