Re-activated yellow alert for high winds Friday (21/02/2013)

According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) is activated Friday yellow alert for wind sources in the Northwest and Altiplano regions.

Winds could reach 70 mph and it will last from 8 to 20 hours.

In order to prevent or mitigate any negative consequences that may result, we recommend that you close and lock doors, windows and awnings.

Remove pot and all objects that could fall into the street and cause an accident.

Secure scaffolding, cranes and other construction elements.

Stay away from ledges, walls, trees and billboards and take precautions before building or buildings in disrepair.

Try to avoid road travel and use caution anyway.

Pay attention to the possible presence of obstacles in the road.

Remember that prevention measures help reduce the damage that can result from disasters.
