The Department of Services retrieves the Giants and Big-heads (06/02/2013)

They appeared in the Market of Market, and have recovered thanks to the great work of the painter and decorator Municipal, Juan Lorenzo Hernandez.

The Giants and Big-heads were found by chance at auction market in bad shape, with a lot of dust and moisture, causing damage to the structure, because of where they were.

We found a giant, Don Quixote, and two big heads, the bullfighter and the Dracula, although there is evidence that more bigheaded like Popeye, but have not been found.

During the presentation by projecting pictures have been Figures state before being restored.

The first step in recovery was clean parts, ensuring the most vulnerable parts to break for impairment, as are the parts that stick out of the images.

Subsequently consolidated structure with white glue.

After consolidating the tail, moved to the primer for subsequent painting and decorating.

The primary structure of plywood being secondary cardboard.

A great work that has been done for months, with a great result, getting respect the decoration of the original pieces.

These pieces will return to parade our streets again, to the delight of all, on Sunday February 10, at the traditional parade Higuico Uncle.

Parade will start from Canovas del Castillo, Martinez Albano climbing up to the Calle del Calvario.
