PSOE: "Rajoy gives green light to lay off its labor reform" (14/02/2012)

The Socialist Group Jumilla, laments the decline that workers will suffer / as Spanish in their employment rights, labor reform approved by the Government of Rajoy, in no case will serve to create jobs or improve the employment situation our youth, and of course, citizens / as that currently have a job, this being another lie, which would have us believe the PP.

Under the guise of the crisis, the PP government, is implementing all its policies derechonas by exploiting gradually dismantle the welfare state that has cost so much effort to achieve.

The main keys to this labor reform are:

Rajoy cheaper by decree on dismissal of the 9 million workers with permanent contracts.

Unfair dismissal will fall from now 45 to 33 days.

Companies can lay off so coming with only 20 days of severance benefits if they accumulate even if they have 9 months of falling revenues.

That is, now, the vast majority of Spanish companies could lay off 20 days of compensation.

The new contract also has pitfalls entrepreneurs, because the trial period is one year, during which the dismissal is free and there is no guarantee of continuity, so it can be a precarious bag without acquiring rights labor.

Reform is an attack on workers' rights contained in collective agreements.

The amendment facilitates the pick of small and medium enterprises, where there are far fewer job guarantees.

And another serious attack on the rights of workers is the maximum period for the denunciation of a convention, which is set in two years.

This means eliminating the conventions ultractividad

and that workers lose acquired rights and negotiating a new agreement starts from scratch.

Is this how the "Workers Party" as defined by the PP Cospedal defends the interests of all workers / as?

Jumillanos Socialists understand that the labor reform should have been accompanied by new proposals for production models for our country, and with sufficient incentives for motors are truly generate new jobs and make us overcome the crisis.

The key is to lower the dismissal, but more incentives through reductions in social insurance contributions recruitment.

Such reforms have to be made by consensus and the participation of all stakeholders, not skipping previous agreements between the union and employers in favor of the latter, using an absolute majority submitted by citizens / as and that in no way be understood as a blank check.

Finally, we expect the PP of Jumilla not do as the national government, and truly get to work and on the initiative presented by the Socialist Group in our City on a Social Pact for employment with the participation of all social partners in our town, which was adopted unanimously at the last plenary.
