Activities of the municipal museum "Jerónimo Molina" of ethnography and natural sciences (30/01/2012)

On Saturday January 28 the activity took place "for his Fingerprints shall know them", part of the program of the Department of Culture Small Adventurers.

At 11 hours the activity began, with a larger number of participants to those initially enrolled, given the great interest aroused among children.

It began with a short talk given by the Director of the Museum for children to know first hand, animals that lived in the area of ​​Jumilla 6 million years ago and saw they were their footprints left marks on the stone.

Then went to the second floor of the museum, where they prepared tables and chairs with several pages with pictures of animals to color and add your tracks, which had previously been in the Hall of Paleontology.

After this first activity the children cut the figures of animals to wear in a tertiary paleopaisaje they had prepared, completing the same with animals.

This was supported by the museum staff Maria Victoria Gomez and Moses Perez.

regarding the conduct of the activity with the children and James Smith who prepared the various pages with paleopaisajes and animals, so that on them, the children, draw, cut and beaten animals.

At the end of it they gave all children a poster with drawings of animals that lived in the deposits Jumillano the Hoya de la Sima and Sierra de las Cabras.
