The Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, Councillor of Finance and Equality, Alicia Abellan, and Councilman Personnel and Internal Affairs, John Calabuig, appearing at a press conference to publicize the status of budget expenditures 2012.

Alicia Abellan, Councillor of Finance, has exposed the general lines of the budget documents it having suffered a reduction of nearly 8 million euros with respect to budgets carried over from 2008.

After this has happened to list the details of the chapters of the municipal budget:

-Chapter 1, Personnel, representing almost 50% of the total budget with a total amount of 9,446,920 euros.

-Chapter 2, current expenditure: 7,935,000 euros.

-Chapter 3, financial: 300,000 euros.

-Chapter 4, subsidies: 232,920 euros, far from it in the Budget 2008 that amounted to 1,696,260 euros.

-Chapter 5, investments: 135,190 euros.

-Chapter 6, transfers of capital: 63,870 Euros.

-Chapter 7, financial liabilities: 800,000 euros.

He continued to inform the level of municipal debt and how it has been increasing in 2007 to be 553,000 euros, 589,700 euros in 2008 and arriving in 2010 to 754,998 euros, which will undoubtedly decrease even further the ability of treasury to meet payments on a regular basis.

Councillor publicly thanked the efforts and generosity of each and every one of the aldermen of the government team, because they understood the situation leaving behind projects and ideas, to address the poor economic situation municipality.

John Calabuig, Councillor Internal Affairs and Personnel, has clarified some of the measures taken for the personnel are:

- Amortization of vacancies in the workforce and whose coverage is not going to make this year.

This has led to a saving of about one million and a half euros.

- Analysis and reduction of all non-subsidized services and programs whose services are provided by temporary staff and contract work.

In order to produce the end of contracts as adopted has been the reduction of working hours of such contract.

- Adoption of formulas outsourcing some services, the cost is considerably reduced.

These savings can, in some services, up to 25%.

- Reduced the economic quantities of heads of services, departments and negotiated.

- Temporary suspension of social assistance for municipal staff.

Suspended aid and are awarded by way of marriage, birth of children, support for glasses, etc.

- Reinforce the use of information technology and communication.

The Mayor concluded by reporting that, faithful to the austerity and prove it has significantly reduced the cost of protocol in all municipal areas and on subsidies, maintaining the generic form of social services in the same amounts and markedly reduced the festive collective target and / or cultural.
