The image of Our Lady of the Assumption, Patroness of Jumilla, is already in the city, specifically in the Church of El Salvador.
The transfer, from its home, the church of St. Augustine, took place yesterday afternoon in the presence of various civil and religious authorities and representatives of various groups festive: the Brotherhood that bears his name, the Federation rocks of the Harvest Festival, the Association of Moros y Cristianos and Folklore Festival.
The pattern was also attended and received by many Catholics.
This year, the picture will remain several days in each of the three churches in town, El Salvador, the Church of San Juan Bautista and the parish church of Santiago.
The image of Our Lady of the Assumption is the protagonist of several acts featured in the August Festival held in his honor.
The most important day is the Aug. 15, in which at 12:00 pm will be held at the parish church of Santiago, the Solemn Mass in honor of the patron, with the performance of the Coral Canticorum.
In the afternoon, from 19:30 pm will be held the Mass and Procession of Our Lady of the Assumption.
It will also be in the parish church of Santiago.
The precession will leave the north gate of the parish of Santiago, following Rua Miguel Trigueros, Lucerne, Santa Maria, Castelar, Constitution Plaza Canovas del Castillo, Plaza de la Glorieta, Steps, Calvary Crosses and Miguel Trigueros, ending at the north gate of the parish of Santiago.
