The City of Jumilla manages to temporarily hire more than a hundred people in less than two years (24/04/2018)

The City of Jumilla has generated more than a hundred temporary jobs in less than two years through the start-up of 17 job boards, the Youth Guarantee System, the Local Employment Plan and the Social Employment Program .

Seven other people will soon get a job as a career civil servant through the five open competition processes that are open to cover seven vacancies, which in turn will generate another seven job boards.

At the end of 2016, seven job boards were set up: administrative assistant, driver, chauffeur, radio announcer, masonry officer, masonry laborer and waste collection and road cleaning pawn.

In 2017, another 10 job boards were joined by plumber, electrician, sports monitor, service worker, computer technician, labor counselor, garden laborer, psychologist, legal and technical advisor for Treasury and Intervention.

"All the processes have been finalized and all the bags are already serving to cover losses, vacations or excesses of work, which also gives stability in employment and in all municipal services," said the councilor for Personal, Alfonso Polished.

The different programs subsidized by the SEF, the Youth Guarantee System and the Local Employment Plan have allowed the contracting for six-month periods of one tourist promoter, an administrative assistant, four electricians, seven painters, a social agent, three carpenters, four gardeners , four computer technicians, two masonry officers and seven masonry workers.

To this must be added the implementation of two Mixed Programs of Employment and Training that have allowed 30 young people to train and work for nine months in boosting educational time for children and youth, as well as auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers.

Another twenty people have been able to work with six-month contracts through the different Social Employment Programs to which 200,000 euros have been dedicated in the last two years.

Among all the selective processes that have been carried out in the last two years, more than a thousand applicants have participated.
