The deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Yolanda Fernández Sánchez has presented two motions in the Regional Assembly requesting the settlement of roads RM-A11 and RM-A12 that connect our municipality with the localities of Fuente Álamo and Albatana respectively, both belonging to the neighboring Community of Castilla La Mancha.

Fernández Sánchez recalls that, above all, the settlement of the Fuente Álamo road is another of the historic claims of the Jumillans that adds to the road of the Carche, since it is in similar conditions of deterioration, circulating by the same farmers as for workers who have to travel to some of the agri-food industries located in the area.

The socialist parliamentarian stressed that what the initiative calls for is that during 2018 the Ministry of Public Works draft the project for a comprehensive settlement of the Fuente Alamo road, and while the project is drafted to see the needs and budget such arrangement, and as requested by the Mayor of Jumilla, include the clearance of the firm in 2018 within the planning of maintenance actions and maintenance of roads in the Altiplano, in order to ensure in this way a safe circulation that minimizes the risk of accidents existing at this time due to its poor condition.

In the same way it requests through another registered initiative, that in 2018 it is also acted on the highway RM-A12 that unites Jumilla with Albatana for being the route that runs inside the municipality in very bad condition, which has led to a group of people have launched a initiative to collect signatures to request their settlement on the Change.org website.

"The lack of maintenance and conservation of highland roads in general, and specifically those that run through the municipality of Jumilla, we have several of these roads that put at risk the safety of people who pass through the same since they are in an authentically lamentable state, at this moment specifying on the part of the Regional Government of an integral arrangement and not only of patches ".
