The Governing Board held yesterday approved the intervention report for the liquidation of the Municipal Budget for the year 2017 that leaves positive results.
The rights recognized net have been of 19.762.369,75 euros, being the obligations of 18.642.621,72 euros, that leave a result of 1.119.728,03 euros, that after the adjustments contributes a positive balance of 2.510.874, 92 euros.
With these results, the remaining Treasury as of December 31, 2017 is 7,830,850.72 euros.
The average payment period for commercial debt was again placed below 10 days, being 9.57 days.
The objective of budgetary stability was met, yielding a positive financing capacity at the end of the year of 750,127.21 euros.
Likewise, the debt limit was fulfilled, which drops to 4,120,587.51 euros, with an expected end of 2018 of 3,194,537.26 euros.
The objective of the Rule of Expenditure has not been met, for 1,399,323.92 euros, for which the full approval of an economic-financial plan will be required to allow the objectives set to be met with the least possible impact on investments. in Jumilla.
"We continue asking through different ways to change this rule, which limits the growth capacity of the municipality," said Councilor for Finance, Alfonso Pulido.
Drafting improvement project Botanical Garden
The Governing Board also approved that the company Zima Desarrollos Integrales complete the final guarantee procedures to proceed with the drafting of the basic and execution project on improvement of the Botanical Garden of La Estacada, as the winning company of the ideas contest convened by the City Council of Jumilla.
The cost of drafting the project will be 26,000 euros, 5% of the base bid budget of the maximum of the work to be projected.
The 'Re-living Project' was the winner of the ideas competition whose prize consisted of the commitment by the City Council to award the basic and execution project, as well as the direction of the works and coordination of safety and health.
The winning project proposes subtle interventions in cornered garden areas so they can be revived.
Spaces will emerge that provoke the feeling of returning to inhabit that known place, although with the strangeness of doing it in a different way.
New areas of recreation with a certain pedagogical character appear on these axes.
It will emphasize aspects as characteristic regionally as are the vine or some natural habitats that reproduce in Jumilla.
It is proposed to give more presence to the main access through a monolithic concrete screen, with a large format identification plan.
Likewise, an acoustic screen and perimeter fence would be created to create a calm and recreational environment.
The pond will gain prominence, preventing it from remaining as it is now, isolated for the visitor due to a large mass of vegetation that grows around it.
Different accessibility actions will also be carried out and a purification system will be created through a biological filter.
It also proposes the creation of playful and informative, children's, sports and creative areas, as well as sensory garden and wine area.
It would also take into account a new classification and organization of the different botanical varieties, treatment of existing ones and inclusion of new species.
A new irrigation system would be designed for the entire park.
The estimated budget for the completion of the entire project is 520,000 euros.
Other agreements
In settlement of obligations an amount of 120,701.20 euros was approved for payment to suppliers.
Likewise, the dates of the different local events in the Vico Theater were authorized for this second quarter, which can be consulted in the agenda of the same.
