This afternoon Valencia Street has been opened to traffic after the completion of the renovation of infrastructures and services that has been undertaken in it in the stretch between Levante and Reyes Católicos avenues.

The roadway and the sidewalks, which have a width of 1.50 meters, have been completely renovated and the architectural barriers have been eliminated.

Likewise, the drinking water network, a stretch of the sanitation network has been changed and urban furniture has been added.

You can only park on the sidewalk of Mercado de Abastos.

This is one of the works of the 2017 Works and Services Plan, whose project also includes the renovation of Fueros Street infrastructures, in the same stretch, between Levante and Reyes Católicos avenues, although these will not start until after of Holy Week.

The work as a whole will cost 127,473.89 euros, of which the City of Jumilla contributes 36.2% (42,229.85 euros) and the rest comes from the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

The works have been executed by Riegos Ago, awarded company that will also carry out the works of Fueros and Goya streets, from the same POS 2017.

This morning they visited the mayor, Juana Guardiola, the Councilor for Works and Urban Planning, Francisco González, the manager of Aguas de Jumilla, Manuel Rayo, and the manager of Irrigation Ago, Andrés Guardiola.
