Miguel Sánchez: "The neighbors have been demanding the remodeling of the road for more than 20 years, since there have been numerous accidents, many of them due to the bad state of conservation of the same"

Ciudadanos has registered an initiative in the Regional Assembly in which it has requested the streamlining of the procedures for the repair, remodeling and adaptation of the RM-A15 highway, known as the El Carche highway.

Miguel Sánchez, regional spokesman for Citizens, visited the area accompanied by several representatives of the local group of the Orange formation in Jumilla, including its coordinator, Ginés Pedro Toral.

Sanchez recalled that there is a game of 400,000 euros in regional budgets for the repair of the road, "amount that is absolutely insufficient to undertake the arrangement of the road, but also has generated a new conflict that goes to indefinitely postpone the start of the works as the regional government claims the collaboration of the City of Jumilla to obtain the necessary land and reminds him that such action is of his exclusive competence.There is no will to reach an agreement and the large handicapped by this situation are the neighbors of El Carche and the users of the road ".

"The remodeling of the current deficiencies of the road does not allow for more delays, so we have asked the regional government to carry out as many actions as necessary to unblock this situation to urgently proceed to repair the road," Sanchez concluded.
