Jumilla will organize a race for colors for equality on March 4 (09/02/2018)

On March 4 Jumilla will have for the first time a color race for equality, a non-competitive event in which the participants throw colored powders of natural origin.

People of all ages can participate and can be done either running or walking.

The one organized by the councils of Equality and Sports together with Festirun will have a distance of 4 kilometers with departure and arrival in the Market of Supplies, where there will be an exhibition and party to the arrival of the runners.

The race will have 4 color stations where four demands will be made (elimination of the wage gap, elimination of discrimination in work by sex, recognition of the value of domestic work and eradication of sexist violence).

It will start at 12 o'clock, with the delivery of numbers from one hour before.

The Race for the Equality of Jumilla has been presented today by the Councilor for Equality, Salvi Perez, the Councilor for Sports, Juan Manuel Garcia and the technique of the area of ​​Equality, Paqui Ruiz.

The registration period is now open, which must be done through www.festirun.com.

Those over 13 can participate to8 euros if they register before February 16, 10 euros from that date and 12 euros on the same day of the race.

They receive t-shirt, bib and safety pins, individual powder bag, bookmark and bow.

Children from 6 to 12 years pay € 5 and receive dorsal and safety pins, individual powder bag, bookmark and bow.

Children under 5 can participate for 1 euro and receive colored bags.
