Maintenance work in schools has had a cost of 55,000 euros (06/09/2017)

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the Councilor for Works and Urbanism, Francisco González, have offered this afternoon a press conference in which they have released all the maintenance works carried out in schools this summer with the aim of set them up for the 2017/18 course starting tomorrow.

The total expenditure has been almost 55,000 euros, which should be added the labor of the municipal staff that has been used to carry out these reforms.

In the College San Francisco have painted all the corridors of the second floor, the roofs of the children's zone and the external gas tank.

Ten doors have been renovated and several areas of the courtyard, exterior gardening and north façade have been paved.

All this has had a cost of 6,395 euros.

In the School Mariano Suárez have spent 5,700 euros painted part of the corridor of the ground floor, the roof of the toilets, a classroom and several rooms.

Ceramic flooring has been placed in a hallway and in the classroom of pedagogy and several arrangements have been made in blinds and doors.

In the Príncipe Felipe School, six classrooms have been painted, several doors have been repaired, a curb has been removed in the yard and the partitions of the building of the old toilets have been removed to be used as a warehouse, with the total cost of repairs of 11,295 euros.

At the Colegio Carmen Conde, 7 classrooms have been painted, the patio marquee and the wall of the Sports Pavilion, cracks and leaks have been repaired, as well as the concrete slab of the diesel fuel tank, with a cost of 8,942 euros.

The largest expenditure on maintenance has been made in the College Our Lady of the Assumption with 13,862 euros.

The roof of the auditorium has been repaired, 56 girders have been painted on the building's metal structure, several doors have been changed, concrete has been conditioned part of the patio and an access ramp has been built.

In the Center of Attention to the Children The Arsenal has painted the corridor, the entrance and the hall of acts, besides different works of carpentry, by an amount of 4,072 euros.

In the Colegio Miguel Hernández have been painted 5 classrooms and 5 new doors have been placed with a cost of 3,250 euros.

Lastly, the College Cañada del Trigo has painted the facade and the patio, as well as different carpentry arrangements, for a price of 1,313.20 euros.

All pedestrian crossings and bus stops near schools are also being repainted.
