PP: The inspection work on the boiler of the school of La Asunción is being done now, during school period and during school hours (25/01/2017)

Last December, on Friday 2, CEIP La Asunción was evicted after detecting a strong odor of diesel oil in the center.

Already then we publicly denounced a new fact of brutal irresponsibility of the government team and we understood that it was inadmissible that since Friday no action has been taken leading to suspend the classes.

We also demanded, then, the mayor, to assume the education competencies and ensure the safety of the center so that they can resume classes normally.

Well after this, the City Council, in a news published on the municipal website on December 6, 2016, writes: "In the next Christmas holiday, and as a precaution, will be used to try to find out the origin of the bad smell last Friday , Which has not been detected since.

Also on December 30 the municipal website also disseminated this information: "The local council has also contracted the regulated inspection of the oil facilities of the College Our Lady of the Assumption with the objective of certifying the state of your boiler and clarifying the origin Of the odors that occurred a few weeks ago. "

And he added at the end of the story: "All these actions have been planned to prevent their execution interfering in school activity, taking advantage of school breaks for the Christmas holidays."

With total surprise Tuesday, January 24, 2017, we have observed how the work of inspection of the boiler during school hours is being carried out.

This is to demonstrate, we understand, that the local government lies repeatedly and unfortunately, the worst, that they take their responsibilities very lightly and irresponsibly.

It is regrettable, once again, that the local government chaired by the most expensive mayor in history, act with such folly on a subject as sensitive as education.

On the other hand, and given that the local government lies shamelessly, we have officially requested technical report in which we answer the following questions:

- Offer presented by the company contracted by the Governing Board on December 27, 2016 for the accomplishment of the regulatory inspection of petroleum installations in the CEIP Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.

- Contract formalized by the Governing Board on December 27, 2016.

- As stated in the agreement of said Board, the maximum term that is given to the contractor for the provision of the service will be 15 calendar days from the notification of the agreement.

When is the company notified?

- Report of the official responsible for monitoring the contract stating: dates of completion of the service, conclusions of the inspection carried out.

Alicia Abellán, spokesman for the PP Municipal Group, has said in this regard "it is incomprehensible how a council can act with such negligence and irresponsibility in a matter as basic as the maintenance of public schools."
