Agriculture highlights the important environmental value of sewage wastewater stations in the cellars of the Region (12/06/2016)

The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cacho, said today on the series 'Music and Wine' in the Carchelo winery that the full recovery of water used in the food processing industry "is one of the objectives of Murcian government to remain a leader in wastewater treatment, where wineries in the region have a very important role. These grants are part of the rural development program in the Region 2014-2020.

The Minister participated this morning in the ninth series 'Music and Wine', organized by the Jumilla Wine Route, which was attended by over 250 people.

The series, which includes concerts in nine wineries associated with the above route, started last May 27 and will conclude on June 29.

The ceremony was also attended by the Government Delegate, Antonio Sanchez-Solis, the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola Verdú, President of the PDO Jumilla, Pedro Lencina, and the president of Croem Jose Maria Albarracin, among others.

Bodegas Carchelo is one of the 40 that make up the Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin Jumilla.

It is a family winery that cultivates its own vineyards with an area of ​​100 hectares, in different places of the municipality and the municipality allocates 90 percent of its export sales to about twenty countries.

Water purification

The region largely meets the objectives of Directive 91/271 / EEC.

The aim is to increase the level of marketing outside the European Union, in countries like the United States, Canada, Japan, China, the Philippines and Taiwan.

The planned actions are directed also to other countries like Mexico, Brazil and African countries.
