Local Police will participate in a campaign to improve the safety of pedestrians (02/05/2016)

Local Police Jumilla participate during days 4, 5 and 6 May in an awareness campaign to improve the safety of pedestrians on the road, driven by the Traffic Department, which regulates programming control campaigns and monitoring provincial level.

This information campaign is motivated by the increase in pedestrian accidents in the first quarter of 2016, representing 13.89% of all accidents with casualties occurred in the region and, particularly, its consequences, as in period between January 1 and April 15 have died six pedestrians period, the same number throughout the year 2015. all in 60 injury accidents and 56 injuries of varying degrees.

Three fatal accidents have occurred on intercity roads and three in urban roads.

The main objective of the campaign is to avoid collisions with pedestrians walking on intercity roads and crossings, and also to all who use urban roads.

To do this, the local police in Jumilla will place special emphasis these days to inform pedestrians to get your mobility is performed safely on cruises and streets.

Also it is taken further into account in future activities with children carried out in the Road Safety Centre of La Estacada.
