It will ask the Health Service of Murcia to finance the ambulance, as it does in other municipalities (18/06/2010)

The socialist municipal group has filed a motion for the next plenary session with which it will ask the Health Service of Murcia (SMS) to finance the ambulance, as it does with other municipalities in the region.

They also reported the cooperation agreement signed with the SMS in 2007 and had a period of four years to review its contents, and request a Monitoring Committee between the SMS and the City to analyze and assess the operation ambulance service.

In the text of the motion, detailing the socialist health service provision of the ambulance, which in 2009 made a total of 831 services, has an annual cost of 260,000 euros, including maintenance costs (14,206 euros, divided into fuel bottles oxygen, car insurance, vehicle maintenance, and apparel) and personnel costs (EUR 246,023, including salaries, social insurance, etc).

Remember that in 2007 the council launched a new service with the launch of a mobile ICU ambulance medicalized, giving it a driver and a paramedic, which operated from 8:00 to 24:00 daily.

That same year he signed a collaboration agreement with the Health Service of Murcia Jumilla City Council to provide public assistance for emergency medical transport.

The agreement that the city collected brought the ambulance and staff, while the Autonomous supplied the medical equipment that was pointing.

The PSOE continues by stating that "with the ambulance service we have to ensure that when an accident or health emergency of any kind, the first emergency response is covered with the municipal ambulance, thus collaborating with and providing SMS service emergencies effectively. Three years later we find a consolidated service and demonstrably effective, with more than 800 services a year. "

Continue to assert that "the council can not continue to assume responsibilities under the regional administration (SMS), given that it does not cooperate economically in the maintenance of the ambulance. However if you are working with other municipalities in the region where financing an important part of service. "
