Environment presents the campaign 'Zero Cacas + Zero Pipís' to continue influencing the cleaning of excrements and urine of pets (16/10/2019)

The Councilors for the Environment and Local Police, Juan Gil and José Antonio Jiménez, presented this morning the campaign 'Zero Cacas + Zero Pipís' with the aim of continuing to raise awareness of the importance of cleaning the feces and urine of pets.

In this edition of the campaign, the challenge is doubled with respect to the previous one, since pet owners can collect in the City Hall (Department of the Environment) a reusable canister to fill with water and vinegar in equal parts that is used in the area where the animal has urinated.

Do not forget to present the health card for accreditation of animal identification.

For the dissemination of the campaign, wedges will be broadcast on the radio and publicity will be made in digital newspapers, television and written press.

"Given that there are more than 6,000 domestic animals registered in Jumilla according to the database of the SIAMU (Animal Identification System of the Region of Murcia), the non-collection of excrement and urine can become a real problem if it is not stopped in time, "said Juan Gil.

For his part, José Antonio Jiménez, recalled that "the Municipal Ordinance on Coexistence establishes that the non-collection and cleaning of animal feces can result in a fine ranging from 60 to 300 euros, although the purpose of this campaign is not the collection but the public awareness, for which the citizens of Jumilla animal owners are asked for their collaboration ".

Corner Cleaning

Taking advantage of this initiative of the Department of Environment, and taking into account a proposal of the Participatory Budgets of Jumilla 2019, called "Dogs do not mean cologne", in addition to raising awareness among animal owners of carrying a bottle of water to to dilute the peeps, the citizens requested the cleaning and disinfection with pressurized water and disinfectant products of the street corners, street lamps and urban furniture of the municipality.

In the next few days, the application of Repelcan product will be applied to the streets of the municipality.

This product of instant and lasting action, has aromatic properties that eliminates in animals the need to urinate in the places that have been applied and does not entail any risk for animals and the environment.
