Women's associations launch thirteen workshops funded by the City Council (15/10/2019)

Coinciding with the International Rural Women's Day, the rural women's associations of Jumilla have presented this morning at the Roque Baños Cultural Center the thirteen workshops that they have launched through grants for non-profit associations for social purposes that they have received from the City of Jumilla, by competitive attendance in the 2019 call. 10,288.31 euros have been awarded, which have been distributed among six associations.

Antonia García, on behalf of the Rural Women's Association of La Alquería has presented the workshops of memory, creation of moldable felt from wool, female self-defense, pilates and coffee with stories.

All of them will take place in the social premises of the district.

Juani López, from the Rural Women's Association Fuente del Pino has offered the details of the IV Chirigotas Workshop, whose objective is to have a presence at the Carnival in a different way than usual in the area.

On the other hand, María Rosario Pérez, representing the Cañada del Trigo Rural Women Association, presented the functional stimulation workshop, which is scheduled every Monday.

On behalf of the Water and Earth Association, Ana María Albert has commented on the implementation of the traditional Jumillana clothing establishment workshop that will take place every Monday and Wednesday from next week.

Antonia García, from the Association of Rural Women of Las Encebras, has reported on the operation of the ecology and natural cosmetics workshops, as well as the so-called coffee with stories, women's stories.

Finally, Conchi Ramos has presented the workshop on gender violence prevention and the Christmas workshop, organized in both cases by the Association for the Fight for Equality.

Both the Councilor for Equality, Lola Gómez, and the area's technician, Paqui Ruiz, have highlighted "the great work that rural women's associations do" and have invited Jumillanos "to participate and take advantage to learn about the magic of the districts. "

Following the presentation of the workshops, a working day was held in coordination with the technical staff of the Association for Regional Development of the Northeast of the Region of Murcia, where the Participatory Local Development Strategy and the three projects of the 'A territory in Equality' program, which are: the main character of rural development, flexible and innovative conciliation services and smart rural for gender equality.
