Santa Ana will premiere in Romería the integral renovation of its recreational areas (08/05/2019)

Santa Ana will debut with the traditional Pilgrimage that is celebrated this Sunday the different integral improvements that have been carried out during the last months in the recreational areas of Santa Ana La Vieja and the Fuente de la Jarra.

In Santa Ana La Vieja, the barbecue area has been rebuilt to reduce the risk of fires, with a table and a toilet, in both cases adapted.

In addition, a path of access to all these points has been created.

On the other hand, the firm has been adapted and a roundabout has been created, as well as a children's play area.

New benches, boundary bollards and a safety street have been installed.

The vertical signage has been renewed and wooden containers have been installed to deduce the visual impact.

In the area of ​​La Fuente de la Jarra new benches have been built, the barbecue area has been reformed and a signage system has been installed to improve the interpretation of animal, botanical and forest diversity.

Likewise, a new railing has been built, the route has been redefined, lighting has been adapted and native natural vegetation has been planted.

Improvements have also been made in the parking area, with the construction of a masonry wall and new signage.

The improvement of the area of ​​Santa Ana La Vieja has had a cost of 99,580.42 euros and has been carried out by the company Talleres y Conducciones Juanito, SL, while the improvement of the Fuente de la Jarra area has cost 28,310 euros and It has been carried out by the company Retamar Obras, Servicios y Medio Ambiente, SL The Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the Councilor for the Environment, Juan Gil, have shown their satisfaction "for the realization of these important improvements in management and signage with the aim of putting in value these two emblematic areas of the municipality's natural heritage ".

It has been financed through the Improvement Funds, which account for 15 percent of the income from the use of forests included in the Public Utility Catalog of the municipality of Jumilla.

Security Preventive Pilgrimage

On the occasion of the Pilgrimage on Sunday, the security preventative will be composed of more than fifty troops between Local Police, Civil Protection, Civil Guard, Fire and Red Cross, which will be joined by climbing experts of the Hinneni Group and service components. forest.

The device, which will be coordinated by the Department of Public Safety, will begin on Saturday at 6:00 pm and will remain activated until Sunday afternoon at 5:00 pm.

On Sunday there will be a bus service departing from Avenida de la Asunción (corner with Reyes Católicos) with access to El Roalico.

From this point, access to the convent of Santa Ana for people with mobility problems will be made through a minibus.

The access to Santa Ana for the rest of vehicles will be cut once the Christ passes and it will reopen when it arrives at El Roalico.

On Saturday there will be no access restrictions.

The vehicles that choose to access Santa Ana by the Colonization road must do it by road from Murcia, not by Cieza.
