This morning a meeting of the Governing Board of the Sierra del Carche Regional Park was held at the Roque Baños Center, where the different procedures carried out during the past year and the proposals to be carried out during the present were analyzed.
Among the investments planned, the conditioning of several reservoirs of the park is already underway, which will be joined by silvicultural treatments, maintenance and cleaning, as well as access improvements, new brochures, obtaining detailed orthoimage and drafting of the revitalization plan.
This is the first time that the meeting of the governing board is held in Jumilla.
The councilor for Environment and Forests, Juan Gil, the director of the Regional Park, José Luis Manovel, the engineer of Montes de Jumilla City Council, Ángela Martínez, the director of the Office of Socioeconomic Promotion of the Environment, Juan Faustino were present Martinez, as well as several components of the governing board and representatives of Grupo Hinneni, Stipa, environmental agents, Casas de la Rosa and Jumsal.
"The Regional Park of the Sierra del Carche has a budget of 6 million euros for the next 6 years that will be used for maintenance and investment.We must work to get reorganize this great heritage that we Jumillano have and get a low tourism environmental impact, "said Juan Gil.
