The draft of the General State Budget for 2019, whose content has been known this week, reflects the commitment made by the Government of Spain with the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, to provide a line with which the Ministry of Development will assume the cost of the construction of the access from the A-33 highway to the El Carche highway.
It is a demand of the mayor before the Government Delegate, Diego Conesa, who promised to do everything possible to solve this problem.
In fact, last week announced in Jumilla that the efforts were well under way and there was a good chance that the budgets would meet this demand.
"The initial amount allocated for the link in this annuity and the following ones is 100,000 euros for purely technical matters, since the items will be increased through credit transfers as the work needs it, once the project is prepared, it is budgeted the real cost and can start the work ", explained the highest local authority.
The inclusion of this item in the General State Budget will cover the signing of an agreement with the CARM so that it can carry out the settlement of the Carretera del Carche, which must begin with the procedures of land expropriation on their part.
The mayor also said that "once she and the Government of Spain have done their part, preventing the City Council and employers have to face an expense of two million euros that would not correspond, the next step is for the Regional Government to get down to work with the Carche road arrangement At the moment, the Regional Budget, approved by PP and Citizens, does not contemplate it ".
