Start of the prevention campaign in pathological gambling aimed at young people between 14 and 16 years old (07/12/2018)

The City of Jumilla, through the Association of Alcoholics Rehabilitated de Jumilla (ARJU), has launched a prevention campaign in ludopathies aimed at young people between 14 and 16 years.

It is being carried out with the students of 3rd of ESO, Basic Vocational Training and the Integrated Center of Training and Agricultural Experiences, which means 17 classrooms.

Two workshops are held with young people.

The first session will be informative, where the problematic of gambling will be explained in detail, entering into the risk factors, protective factors and the first warning signals to be able to detect this addiction.

In the second session of the prevention of pathological gambling, students will work with both social and emotional skills, which are fundamental for the optimal development of the person.

In addition, young people will be given different strategies and alternatives to the game, along with healthy leisure and fun habits.

During the last week of prevention, a talk will be held to parents of the students.

The campaign has begun this week and will last until the end of next February 2019.
