A total of 524 works have been submitted within the deadline set for the 32nd City of Jumilla Literary Prize, which will distribute 2,000 euros to the winners.
The first prize in short fiction, where 327 works will compete, will take 1,000 euros.
The work best valued in verse, where 197 works have been presented, will also be rewarded with 1,000 euros.
The jury is chaired by the writer Magdalena Sánchez Blesa.
In addition, the professors of Language and Literature, Myriam Muñoz, Laly Martínez and María Jesús Monreal, as well as the councilor of IU-LV, María Ríos.
The director of the Municipal Library of Jumilla, José Luis González, will act as secretary.
The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martinez, has shown his satisfaction for the high turnout with which the Literary Prize has counted, recovered after eight years without being convened.
The jury is already evaluating the works, although there is still no confirmed date for the issuance of the decision and awards.
