The Governing Board has approved the completion of the works for the preparation of the Charco del Zorro wetland, whose improvements were the most voted proposal in the Participatory Budgeting process 2018.
The wooden poles that currently make the boundary between the land and the water channel area will be replaced by their poor condition and lack of security by a masonry wall that will prevent possible falls into the pond.
Also, an informative poster will be installed that will inform of the particularities of an area of ​​great biological richness, "an oasis in semiarid land, historical for our municipality", has indicated the Councilor for Agriculture, Juan Gil.
The cost of the works will be 47,267.16 euros and will be carried out by the company Construcciones JM Gas SL within one month of its start.
Other agreements
On the other hand, the procedure for the concession of the concession for the exploitation of a kiosk in the Plaza de la Alcoholera de Menor, by open procedure and tender base of 509.28 euros per year, susceptible of improvement upwards.
Likewise, the purchase of furniture for the Municipal Library has been approved through the commercial company Ofitecni for 11,902.32 euros.
It also approved the agreement for the direct award of a subsidy to the Association of Artisans of Jumilla of 2,000 euros.
In settlement of obligations, an amount of 291,025.59 euros was approved for payment to suppliers.
